This 3D scene is a magical recreation of The Golden Temple of Amritsar. It uses over 150 custom pieces to build a world that feels both grand and dreamlike. With glowing lights and a soft, "toy-like" style, the temple looks beautiful and inviting, telling a peaceful story through its charming characters and golden details.

Starting point

The project started with a wish to turn the real Golden Temple into a magical, storybook world. I focused on making the architecture look authentic but gave it a soft, dreamlike feel. The goal was to capture the peaceful and glowing atmosphere of the temple as if seen through the eyes of a child.

Problem solving

The biggest challenge was making the complex, carved patterns on the ceilings without slowing down my computer. I solved this by building small, detailed pieces that could be repeated across the room. This allowed me to keep all the beautiful details while making the 3D scene much smoother to manage.

Implimentation

To build the full temple complex, I used a modular workflow. I created a set of high-quality pieces, like domes, arches, and railings, that I could snap together to build large sections quickly. This kept the massive scene organized and ensured every part of the temple looked consistent and authentic.

Results

To get everything right, I gathered hundreds of photos and maps of the real temple. This helped me understand the exact layout, from the long pathways to the specific placement of the buildings. By studying these details carefully, I was able to recreate a version that feels true to the real place while still looking like a magical, 3D world.
